Genograms and family trees for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and macOS

Contact us: support@genosketch.com
Tell us your device, the app version (Help › Keyboard Shortcuts and About) and what happened. Please do not send real client or patient files. Describe the problem, or send a copy with the names removed.

Getting started

How do I add people?
Tap "Add a man" or "Add a woman". Then press and hold the person (or right-click on a computer) and choose New Mate, New Son, New Daughter or New Parents. AutoArrange in the toolbar lays the family out.
How do I edit someone's details?
Double-tap the person. Name, gender, dates and notes appear in the details panel.
How do I select several people?
On iPhone and iPad, tap the ✓ button next to the zoom controls, then tap people or drag across them. On a computer, hold Shift.
How do I draw on a genogram?
Choose the pen in the Draw toolbar. Draw with a finger, Apple Pencil or mouse; pick a colour or the eraser from the palette, and tap Done to finish. Once an Apple Pencil touches the map, fingers pan and zoom instead of drawing. Each stroke can be undone.

Files

Which files can Genosketch open?
.gno genogram files, .xml and GEDCOM (.ged). Genosketch saves .gno files and exports PNG, SVG, EMF, CSV and GEDCOM.
Where are my documents stored?
Wherever you save them, for example the Files app. Genosketch also keeps a recovery copy of the open document on your device.
I forgot the password of an encrypted backup.
We cannot recover it. Encryption happens on your device and the password is never sent to us.
